Special Thanks to Derby Lane

GPA Tampa Bay would like to extend our thanks to kennels & trainers @ Derby Lane Greyhound Track for all of their assistance. Derby Lane provides us with an office during the racing season at the track which allows us to generate many adoptions in and out of the Tampa Bay Area.

Tampa Greyhound Track Info
July - December

If you have a GPA grey in your home, and you would like to visit the Tampa Track this season, please read the following:

Tampa Greyhound Track visiting guidelines:

1 Parking-you can drive through the Valet line and let them know you are with GPA. You should be directed to park along chain link fence nearby.
2 Some form of GPA identification is a must because GPA is the only authorized adoption group to be present. A GPA pet jacket, T-shirt, volunteer badge or even a GPA card will do. Show it to the security people at the entrance. There is no specific check-in person when entering the Track. In the near future there will be some GPA volunteer badges at the gift shop for those who don't have them, these can be used and returned when leaving.
3 You can walk with your Greyhound almost anywhere but you MUST be sure to be inside the Grandstand or Gift Shop anytime the racing dogs are walked or raced. Flash photos are forbidden.
4 We should soon have a table and/or display case for our brochures and donation items located in the Grandstand area across from the Spanish Lounge. All donation methods are welcome. Limited storage will be available in the Grandstand Office around the corner. Only paper items are suggested to be left as there is no locked area available.
5 The coordination for all this may take some time and we will post additional information as needed.
Any questions, please call 727-595-7852 and leave a message.
