From Robbie's 2-legged kennel mates and Foster Home: "If you have a 'run with the big dogs' kind of home, then our Robbie is more than deserving of your attention. He's a striking hound with a shiny black coat that contrasts handsomely with his richly colored amber eyes. He's got a certain happiness and spark in him that makes him stand out in the crowd. He is definitely a human oriented hound. He's very content to just hang by your side, but not in a clingy way. He'll give kisses to his humans as well, if you are amenable to it. He is currently living very amicably with other greyhounds, AND small dogs as well. He enjoys children tremendously, and loves attention from them. Robbie is an overall A+ companion in our book, and he's just the boy to lift your spirits after a rough day!"
In response to recent requests and an ever-growing need, GPA/Tampa Bay has added this new feature to our site. Our “Hounds of the (GPA) Black Brigade” features our black greyhounds.
As some of you may know, universally, black dogs are a bit harder to place than other colors. Greyhounds are no exception. There has always been somewhat of a stigma associated with black animals (most notable is the black cat at Halloween.) On the other hand, there are many who adore and celebrate the black hounds, and we are here to appreciate that fact along with you! It is our intention to showcase our awesome black dogs and devote this section of our site to them. They are just as friendly, loving, and awesome as all greyhounds of other colors! To that end, take a look at the available black greyhounds we have for adoption, and choose one of your very own to love-we guarantee they will return your affection ten-fold! (Just click on any photo in our circle of Brigade greys below to bring them to the forefront.)
Congratulations to Paula, Mark, Tripp, JB, Luis, and Al- our most recent Brigade Hounds to be "Commissioned Home!"
